The Third Swan

A summary of dangers posed by Artificial General Intelligence

The Black Swan by Pavel Pogodin

People who know me are aware that I am a huge advocate of technology, particularly AI. Whether it's using Alexa, regularly updating my smart home systems, or making the most of DALL-E, Midjourney and GPT-4 whenever the opportunity arises, my enthusiasm for AI and all things related to it is huge.

Fueled by curiosity, I delved into the subject of potential risks of artificial intelligence. What shocked me was my failure to comprehend how and why AI could pose any danger whatsoever.

After all, we can always simply pull the plug, right? Or so I thought.

During my exploration, I stumbled upon various viewpoints presented by numerous scientists regarding AI and AGI and I was inspired to dig deeper and compile a comprehensive summary of what I found.

I assure you, if you make it to the end, your perspective on AI will undergo a significant transformation.

#Ad(d)Power - Political advertising on Social Media

Ever since the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal the world knows what influence Social Media can potentially have on politics and the outcome of some political events, such as elections.

The "networkization" of our society is an irreversible global tendency that has a widespread manifestation in our lives and is expressed in the intensive spread of different forms of life organization.

The understanding of these processes is key to conduct successful politics using Social Media as the main instrument. This publication is my understanding of how Social Media is being used to achieve political goals.

After the Storm - Marketing post Covid-19

The Black Swan is a metaphorical theory that describes an unfortunate event of global scale that comes unpredictably and exceeds all possible expectations and preparations, thus has an extreme impact on the affected society. A lot of history books one day will probably describe the year of "Covid-19" as the biggest challenge of humanity since the second world war.

There is no doubt that Covid-19 has not only changed the society, but the world as a system and I was extremely curious to find out how this will affect our day-to-day lives in the future and what we can do, to adjust to new realities as quickly as possible.
